~Another Call to 911~

February 28, 2007 / by angeleyes1971

Sunday February 25th, 2007 my daughter Lindsey wen't into another grand mal seizure while she was still sleeping that led to statis epileptis and another phone call was placed to 911. This is the hardest thing to witness and I have often wondered why does she have to go through such a tramatizing episode. I was sitting on the computer Sunday morning at around 8:55 AM printing out maps for Lindsey's Baby Shower when Lindsey sat straight up from a deep sleep and wen't into a seizure that led to a grand mal. As I ran over to her as she was beginning to fall to her right side off the couch, I had to hold her from falling. Her head then began twinching to her left side and her eyes followed the same movements and then at this time, I knew that I had better call 911 because her lips were beginning to turn blue and she started gasping for air and no response at all during this seizure. At this time I have my mouth to her mouth administering CPR to my daughter and talking to the emergency personel. Now, remember she is pregnant also and was 30 weeks and 1 day along in her pregnancy as of Sunday. You talk about some scary stuff here and tramatizing. I hurt for her and this is so very very hard!!!!!!! I cry all the time. I feel as if I am not getting the answers that I need for her. We spent the day at Foote Hospital Sunday and they do not know what they are doing.

How do any of you get through all of this after witnessing an episode like this one for those that have gone through this with a loved one?

I told the paramedic's that I give them credit for being able to do thier line of work because this just about gave me a heart attack and Lindsey has had seizures since she was eight years old and she is now seventeen years old, but this is the second statis epileptus episode that she has underwent and being pregnant on top of it all is scary.

I kept talking to her throughout the seizure and no response back, but this was the first time that she actually had tears rolling down her face throughout the seizure but couldn't respond back to me. I'm crying as I type this article because it is so very very sad!!!!!!!!!

I bet that is scary to witness. How is she doing now and how often does she get these seizures.

Dear Father up in the heavens, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all unknown conditions: Be present in your goodness with your daughter Lindsey, that her seizures may be banished and her strength restored; and that, her health being renewed, she may bless your holy Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

I will continue to keep your daughter in prayer. You have a great week.

Thank you so much for your reply Ray and for the beautiful prayer as well. GOD Bless you my Brother in Christ.

Lindsey used to have anywheres from one to sixteen seizures in a day that started out to be Petite Mal Seizures and as I stated in my post that she was eight years old when she underwent her first seizure on Easter Sunday of 1998. Since then, she has done tremendously better and her seizure activity has decreased but she has never went passed four weeks before having another one. She has underwent two severe seizures, where she has stopped breathing as I stated in my post also.

I have a strong belief in the LORD and I do know that HE works in Miraculous ways and I pray that HE can heal her of these but it is so hard to see her go through them.

Prayer is so powerful and I can't say it enough, "thank you so very very much for your prayer."

May the LORD richly bless you Ray.

By the way, I visited your site also and you have one tremendous Testimony. Keep your Faith and know that with what you have had to endure that the LORD has so much in store for you and with what you have went through HE will help you to help others that have been through the same things.

Keep on Shinin and keep on witnessing so that HE will get all the glory.

    Love in Christ,
