Greetings Blogsterland,
May this article make you feel welcome when you come accross it because I am so proud to be able to share with each and every one of you something very special that the LORD has given to us. HE has blessed us with a healthy baby girl that was born to my daughter, Lindsey and her Fiance, Steven on Sunday May 6th, 2007. She is my first Grand-Child and I am so blessed. For the LORD answered all prayer's. Lindsey had a seizure in the early morning Friday 05/04/2007 at 4:10 AM and then wanted to go to school on Friday, in which was her estimated due date. She then wen't to school and then the school called me at 11:20 AM to inform me that Lindsey was having some contractions, so I wen't straight up to the school to pick her up and she already had a follow-up appointment set up that same day at U of M....so I picked up both of my daughter's from school and we headed towards Ann Arbor to be close to the Hospital in case her contractions became closer apart. She was able to be seen at her regular appointment and the doctor checked her to find out that she was still dilated at 1.5 as she was the Friday before. The doctor then wanted us to go to Triage so that they could monitor the Baby's Heart Rate since Lindsey had a seizure in the early morning that day. So, we wen't to Triage, they then hooked her up to the Monitor for about 20 minutes and then the baby's heart rate dropped a bit, so they immediately admitted her and induced her Labor by 10:25 PM. They started with Cervidil at 10:25 PM 05/04/2007 and it was taken out at 10:25 AM 05/05/2007 and in the mean time started her with Pitocin. Lindsey then was increasing in dilation to 2 then to 3 then to 4 and then ended up getting the Epideral. It was amazing to see how the Epideral worked with her, since I had never experienced an Epideral before, she did not feel a thing once that was done, but once it came time to push, Lindsey pushed as hard as she could possibly push and then some, not getting anywhere other than the baby's head crowning and going back in. This wen't on forever. She was totally exhausted and just wanted to give up....she kept on saying, "I'm done....my bottom hurts....I'm done over and over again after each push." I fealt helpless, I just wanted to be able to push for her. After allowing the Epideral to wear off a bit, my poor daughter had to push for an additional 2.5 more hours. Now that was the only disadvantage in my opinion of an Epideral, because it did not wear off enough for Lindsey to be able to tell how hard she was really pushing, when in all actuallity she was giving it her all and getting no where. Kaylee Arianna was born at exactly 2:36 AM Sunday Morning 05/06/2007. ~What an outstanding date of Birth!!!!~ She weighed in at 8 lbs. 13.8 oz and 22.5 inches long. ~Very Healthy and so Beautiful....One of GOD's Perfect Masterpieces!!!! Just to inform each and every one of you that have been keeping up with my posts about my daughter Lindsey, she did very very well during Labor and Delivery other than the amount of time it took, but the good LORD above answered all of our prayers and Lindsey did not have one single seizure during the time at the Hospital. ~Praise GOD!!!!~ As always, thanks again for all the Prayer's to all my special friend's and Family at Blogsterland. For I have so many Blessing's to be thankful for. Lindsey had to stay in the Hospital for a total of twenty four hours and then she and Kaylee were released to come home. They arrived home on Monday afternoon and are both doing very very well. ~Praise GOD again!~ Thanks for coming to visit this article and looking into the Blessing of a Newborn Child born to a Mom of Seizures. For GOD is Awesome. He gave us a totally healthy Baby Girl! We Love Each and Every one of you. Until next time, take care and GOD Bless.
